Guidelines for repacking the printer

Use the following guidelines when repacking the printer:

If possible, include print samples and 5 to 10 sheets of paper or other media that did not
print correctly.

Remove and keep any DIMMs (memory) installed in the printer. See

Installing a memory

DIMM (HP LaserJet 1320 series printer only)

for more information.

CAUTION

Static electricity can damage DIMMs. When handling DIMMs, wear a grounded, antistatic
wrist strap.

Remove and keep any cables, trays, and optional accessories installed in the printer.

Remove and keep the print cartridge.

CAUTION

To prevent damage to the print cartridge, store the print cartridge in its original packing
material, or store it so that it is not exposed to light.

If possible, use the original shipping container and packing material. Shipping damage
as a result of inadequate packing is your responsibility
. If you have already disposed of
the printer's packing material, contact a local mailing service for information on
repacking the printer.

Hewlett-Packard recommends that you insure the equipment for shipment.
